Summer is the season for fresh flowers and plenty of sunshine, it is a truly magical time of year to get married. Here you’ll find our bridal accessories and items you’ll need on your wedding day to keep those heat waves under control.

See our must-have summer items below:

Setting Spray

Any time of year, a setting spray is a makeup MUST but in the summer heat it will really help to keep your makeup in place for longer. Professional Makeup Artists like our Make Me Bridal Pro Artists Emma Olliff and Makeup By Gabby will use a setting spray to keep your beautiful bridal makeup in place all day, regardless of the weather outside!

Choose a spray that suits your skin type, mattifying for oily skin or for that extra glow choose a dewy bridal finish. We would recommend the Skindinavia Bridal Finishing Sprayto set your bridal makeup for up to 16 hours or try using it to cool down and refresh your complexion later in the day.

Cover Ups

Summer is a beautiful time of year to get married, although the sun may be a little hot on your big day, it could still be a little chilly in the late afternoon. What better way to layer up than with lace or beaded throw ons to keep you warm for those outdoor photos. We just love the beautiful beaded kimono on this bride who’s hair and makeup was styled by Berkshire based Pro Artist Melissa Clare.

Umbrella

We know that rain at a wedding is supposedly a symbol of good luck and that your marriage will last but without an umbrella, your hair and makeup might not. We think an umbrella makes a pretty cute prop too like for this gorgeous bride wearing a pretty vintage bridal hair accessory by bespoke wedding hair accessory makers Melancholy Magpie and with stunning hair and makeup styling by Dorset based Pro Artists Caroline and Elke from Amazing Face.
