Beckie Welfare Hair & Makeup

I have such a huge passion about the wedding industry and love working as such an important and intimate part of the big day.
I have worked within the beauty industry for the past 10 years and love how creative I can be, using hair and make up skills and tricks to enhance natural beauty.
I understand how important it is to look camera ready, yet still feel recognisable in front of family and friends.
I have a strong network of hair and makeup artists, who are all trained to work to a high level when I'm unavailable for a job myself or when I need assistance on larger wedding jobs.
I use high end, luxury skin care, make up and hair products and cater for all skin types and tones.

My Portfolio

Lucy wanted a fresh and natural make up, but especially wanted emphasis on her eyes. To compliment her skin tone and hair colour, we used plum shadow colours on the eye lids and a rich purple eyeliner. -

This glamorous mother-of-the bride wanted an edgy blow dry. So we created body and used some products to create definition at the ends, flicking them out and creating a little texture. -

Emma wanted her eyes to 'pop' especially when she wore her veil, so we ensured there was plenty of definition around her eyes. We used individual false lashes and a chocolatey brown smudged under the outer corner and along the top o the eye lid. - Photography by: Pixel Trap.

A classic up-do, for a classic bride. Creating the right amount of volume behind the tiara is very personal, but also merging it into a classic but un-manicured style to show off the back of this gorgeous dress is imperative. -

Curling, twisting and looping the hair around itself really worked for this bride and the laid back style we were going for . Her hair piece looked stunning too, as it incorporated amber coloured beads to compliment her natural hair colour, while the pearl beads contrasted delicately. -

When choosing your hair style, it's so important to consider the front and the back of your dress and how you can best show it off.
This particular bride wanted a classic and elegant hair style, not detracting from the dress, but giving it interest and detail 360 degrees. -

Lucy wanted emphasis on her lashes. I layered mascara onto some falsies and with the contrast of the shimmery pinks and matt brown the overall look was stunning. -

Curls and twists was my mission for this style. It creates such a beautiful textured look. -

An up-do can be so varied. I loved this style as it was quite different to many others I've done and by letting the hair fall exactly where it wanted we created the circular shapes which we later added diamante pearls to the centres. -

Heated rollers, lots and hair spray, several hair pins later and a finishing shine spray is sometimes all you need! -

This gorgeous bride got married at Danesfield House and her dress, makeup and hair style complimented the venue so incredibly well. -

Emma had synthetic hair extension bonds, which we carefully curled and managed to hide within this intricate half-up do.
Whether its all natural, or we've given it a little help, I can style it so nobody would ever know! - Photography by: Pixel Trap.

I love creating this style, as it can be as manicured and structured or as loose and soft as you want. -

Loved getting these brides back in their dresses to recreate their wedding day looks.
Enhancing natural beauty & giving brides such confidence is the most rewarding feeling I've ever had in a job and I love it. -

My cousin's beautiful new wife - what an honour it was to make this natural beauty feel so incredible.
She wanted a natural 'Maid Marion' look to her hair, which we adorned with flowers at the back, and kept her makeup very neutral and dewy, focusing primarily on her smiley eyes. -

Adding hair accessories can make such a huge difference to your hair style. Most of the time, during a trial we discover what would look the very best, so don't panic if you've not found anything or felt inspired as that's what I'm here to help assist with! -

During this bridal trial we played around with high loops and defined detail at the back. On the wedding day she wore gypsophila in her hair, which was a beautiful contrast to her auburn hair. -

Playing around with twists and volume and how best to adorn the hair. -

Sarah wanted emphasis on her eyes, so I blended bronze tones with a dark brown. Keeping it natural and earthy, whilst complimenting her eye and hair colour. -
