FAQs
Where/when do the trials take place?
I suggest booking your trial in for a date approximately 3 months before your wedding. Trials are carried out on weekdays between 9.30-2.30 at my home studio in Eversley RG27
Do I need to bring anything for the trial?
Bring a white top, any hair accessories you may have and your veil if you have one. Some people bring a sample of their flowers which is a lovely way of seeing how the colours work with your look. Arrive with a bare face too, unless you have a particular way of wearing your makeup that you would like me to replicate.
Do I wash my hair the night before it is styled?
You know your hair best! Evaluate how much time you have to get ready in the morning, how warm the weather is, do you need a conditioning treatment...we can discuss this. Most importantly arrive with it clean, fresh, product free and ensure it is completely dry.
How long does a trial take?
Trials take roughly 2 hrs for hair and 2hrs for makeup or 3.5hrs for both.
How long do you need on the wedding day?
For the bride I will need 60mins for hair and 60mins for makeup + 15 mins for touch ups. For the bridal party I will need 45 mins for hair and 45 mins for makeup.
What is your cancellation policy?
My booking terms and cancellation policy are applicable once a deposit is paid. The are fully viewable on my booking form www.melissaclare.com/booking-form
When do your require final payment?
I require the final outstanding payment 6 weeks before the wedding.
What additional services do you offer?
I offer airbrushing with Temptu and Airbase foundations, solely to the bride as an exclusive service. I offer Lash Perfect Individal express lashes that last 2 weeks

Travel is charged at £0.50p per mile (from Eversley, Hampshire, RG27)
A booking fee of £100 is required to secure me for your date, this will then be deducted from the final wedding day invoice.
If an Additional Artist is required for larger bookings, earlier ceremonies or restricted start times, there will be an additional charge of £100 per stylist.
