FAQs
Where/when do the trials take place?
At the convenience of the bride subject to availability of the artist. The bird is welcome to come to the artists or the artist can on occasions travel to the bride with additional fees for travel.
How long does a trial take?
A full hair and make up trial including discussion and looking a visual mood boards or other reference materials take between 1-3 hours.
Do I need to bring anything for the trial?
It is always Wonderfull to have some referencing materials to look at even if it like a visual college of certain thing you want I can even mix 2 different hair styles if you are able to identify which parts of which style you like. I am always delighted if the bride decides she would like to leave the look to me... If this is the case, i might ask more general questions such as do you like a more dramatic look, you do you prefer a more subtle and natural look?
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are difficult for an artist as wedding are mostly grouped in the summer months, here in the gloriously temperamental rather of the UK. This means that, I'm often book up ver quickly so cancellations means I loose the opportunity to work. If you are able to make cancellations before the 3 months commencing your wedding, the fee is £100. Otherwise I will keep the deposit of £250.
When do your require final payment?
On the actual wedding day other by transfer or cash preferably.
How long do you need on the wedding day?
It has come to my attention that many things can happen on a wedding day... (for which I have a range of tricks up my sleeve) and so I like to make sure I have 3 hours for hair and make up, and 2 hours for make up only, allocated (just incase). For everyone else usually 1 hour for make up and 30-45 minutes for hair.
What additional services do your offer?
I offer massage, manicure, eyebrow shaping and hair cutting.
Do you have any special offers?
Yes if the bride has an unusual theme for her wedding and would be happy for me to have images for my portfolio I would be happy to offer a discount. I can often be flexible on the day if there are more people who want some styling and or touch ups. If the bride and groom are on a low income or on benefits I offer up to a 25% discount.

If you have a big wedding of over 5 to do full styling on I could look at doing a group discount, or sometimes I can deduct travel expenses or do an extra service of hair or make up for somebody on the day.
However I do need to consider factors that affect how much time its taking me, distance of travel and my expenses...
Occasionally I have stayed near by if its a long way from home.
I also have an assistant Betty, who is absolutely lovely, who I call in if I have a large group to style she assist me and I pay her myself directly.
