I managed to stumble across G's site while scrolling overwhelmed trying to choose a makeup artist for my wedding and the way she wrote about her services instantly grabbed my attention. I took a closer look at her work and thought it was absolutely stunning and I simply had to book her as my artist. I booked her gold package, as I saw that also included more dedicated support and a little massage which I thought would be very helpful to calm me down on my wedding morning.
Oh my gosh, I did not get just a makeup artist, I got someone who was truly dedicated to me, my bridal party, and our experience on the day. Everyone looked absolutely stunning with flawless makeup. Every bridesmaid commented on how nice and pretty they felt! G will not stop until she achieves perfection. She is truly dedicated to her craft. After my trial, I felt so pretty that I asked what makeup she used on me and purchased much of it. She's reignited my passion for doing my own makeup, and any questions at all, product recommendations, skin care advice, she promptly replies, you're feeling anxious about the day, she will help and reassure you. She describes herself as more like a big sister than a make up artist and that is definitely the case!
I was stressed on the morning but as soon as G started the back and neck massage my worries just melted away. This was a better massage than I have received from many dedicated professionals in spa settings. G played nice relaxing music as well. It's worth its weight in gold to get to sit on your wedding morning and just be worked on by expert hands and not have to worry about your makeup going wrong or running out of time, you just have to be there. G showed up shortly after 4am to start and ensure we were all ready on time, despite the early start she was so cheerful throughout. Also she and her husband Graeme are just the cutest tag team.
On the day, I managed to break my dress from flailing in despair as I lost my body tape. G brings an emergency kit including a needle and thread and was able to fix it once we arrived at the venue! She also managed my train, my flowers, touched me and the bridesmaids up throughout the day, applied plasters on my feet which were blistering and that enabled me to keep my proper bridal shoes on through the whole day, helped me have a wee before the ceremony!!... 😂 Absolutely everything that could have been stressful, G smoothed over.
