Micro weddings (a small celebration with 50 guests or fewer) are all about creating a relaxed atmosphere and feeling connected to your loved ones as you exchange your “I do”s. But if you’re planning a spring micro wedding, what about the bridal look?
Of course, just because you’re having a smaller wedding doesn’t mean you have to change the look you planned at all. You can rock a dress and a do as elaborate as you like! But perhaps you’re saving that big day look for a follow-up celebration, or maybe you feel that the simpler setting of your micro wedding calls for a different style.
Perhaps you want to take your cue from registry office, elopement, and destination brides, who have been perfecting this fun, slightly pared back form of bridal fashion for some time. It’s completely up to you, but if you are looking to switch up your bridal style for a spring micro wedding, here are a few options to consider.
Soft and Natural
With many spring micro weddings set to take place outdoors, dresses with an airy, romantic or bohemian feel are a great choice. Look for a simple gown with lots of movement and subtle detailing or embroidery that will photograph beautifully in natural light. Celebrate your natural texture with hair down in or in a half up half down style, or opt for a messy updo or side braid if you’d prefer to wear it off your face. Add a delicate hair vine or a flower crown, or have your stylist weave real flowers into your updo. For makeup, keep things natural with rosy highlighter, dewy skin, and a nude or soft pink lip.

Modern Minimalist
Simple, minimalist bridal fashion is very much on trend at the moment and is perfect for a spring micro wedding. Think sleek silhouettes, structured tailoring, and gorgeous fabrics. A chic updo works perfectly for this look, as do long, smooth curls. Glam them up with pretty clips or a statement headband. For your makeup, create a bit of drama with a softly blended smoky eye, fake lashes, and luminous skin.

Fashion Forward
A spring micro wedding can also be a chance to get playful with fashion and have fun with your look! For example, a short and sassy mini, a sharp pantsuit or jumpsuit, or a dress in a bold colour or print (pastels and florals are perfect for the season!).
Depending on the style you choose, you can opt for a vintage-inspired hairdo together with a bold berry lip, or maybe a flirty updo with makeup in pretty pastel tones. How about a bridal cape or a 1960s-inspired pouf veil? Or a gorgeous hat? There are no rules!
