When deciding on your bridal hair and makeup, one of the elements to take into account is the season of your wedding. This is partly for practical reasons, like making sure your hair and makeup is weather-proof, but also because a touch of seasonal style is the perfect way to make your look cohesive with the florals, décor – even the surrounding landscape and vibe of the day. Of course, you don’t have to limit yourself to pastels in spring, for example. However, taking the elements you already want and adapting them slightly for the time of year is always a good idea. Showing how it’s done today is Make Me Bridal pro, Leanne Hart Makeup Artist. For this portrait-style shoot, Leanne and the rest of the creative team wanted to show off different colours and styles that would suit the four seasons. They worked with four different models, all of whom were non-professionals, and we love all the looks they created!
Starting with spring, Leanne’s concept for makeup was fresh, neutral, and warm. A soft, natural look that’s perfect for the changing seasons.
For summer, Leanne took things up a notch for sunny days. She used warm and subtle bronzing on model, Cleo, along with pink tones in the shadow and lip and some gorgeously flirty lashes!
For the autumn look, Leanne was inspired by classic autumnal shades, which she used to define her model’s eyes in a beautiful, natural way. The lips were crisply defined in a stunning berry shade that was also perfect for the season.
For her winter bridal look, Leanne chose to create a modern take on a classic vintage look. A deep, luscious red lip, complemented by vintage-style black liner and defined brows. Just a touch of Hollywood waves to define the face was the perfect finishing touch for this classy style perfect for chilly days.
