Samantha and Tom were married in late November in the magnificent luxury setting of Gosfield Hall in Essex. The warm, festive hues of rich burgundy, gold, and navy blue were the perfect complement to this winter wedding, and were reflected in the stunning bouquets and floral arrangements. Bride Samantha looked like royalty in a satin ballgown with plunging neckline and grand train, which she wore with an elegant updo, and naturally glam makeup from Make Me Bridal pro, Zoë Tivey of PosiTIVEYly Peachy Makeup, Beauty, Health. Says Zoë: “Sam came to me initially to have her eyelashes done and then realised I did wedding makeup. I was so chuffed when she booked me for her big day after her successful wedding makeup trial!”
For her bridal makeup, Samantha was looking for something fairly natural, but a bit more special than her day-to-day look. To make the most of her beautiful skin, Zoë opted for a flawless matte base that still gave a lovely, healthy glow, without being too flat visually. Keeping the skin simple also meant that there was room for more definition on Samantha’s gorgeous eyes and lips, without Sam feeling overly made up. To complement the winter theme, Zoë went for shimmery golds and browns on the bride’s eyes, and finished off with Sam’s chosen lip shade, which brightened her face and added a dash of colour.
Another important element of Samantha’s bridal look was the individual lashes that Zoë applied beforehand. She says: “I always recommend some form of lash application either prior to, or on the day of the wedding, so that the makeup stands out more, especially in the photographs. It also gives more of a glam look, which can be adapted to each person’s preference. It’s amazing how having better eyelashes can make you feel for a special occasion!”

I thoroughly enjoyed doing the makeup for Sam and her bridal party. What a gorgeous group of women I had the pleasure of spending time with! They all looked super fresh-faced and beautiful. And, although I haven’t yet met Tom, I can see that he and Sam are made for each other.”
