Where do you find wedding inspiration? For Rebekah and Ben, their gorgeously unique ceremony venue served as their ultimate muse. The couple, who wed on a slightly drizzly London day, chose the amazing Asylum Chapel for their vows, and opted for a whimsical boho meets industrial chic feel to capture its true essence. The chapel, a beautifully distressed space bombed in World War II, was dressed with dozens of candles and soft summer blooms, with white rose petals scattered down the aisle. The bride wore a stunning Grace Loves Lace gown, perfectly accented by a cathedral-length veil and soft blonde waves created for her by Make Me Bridal pro, Bethany Alden Hairstyist.
Bethany had visited the ceremony venue before she met the bride for her first trial, having worked on a styled shoot there, so she had a good idea of the ambience Rebekah was working with. “I absolutely love the rustic romance of the Asylum Chapel,” she says, “and wanted to make sure I created a look and feel to the hair that suited both Rebekah’s style and the venue.” To achieve this, she created a half-up half-down style, with soft romantic beach waves, perfect for a boho bride and her bridesmaids.
The reception venue was just as special. Rebekah and Ben chose Tanner Warehouse near London Bridge, a converted warehouse oozing with personality. They filled it with flowers, twinkle lights, and coloured lighting, which perfectly complemented the vintage and industrial accents that make the space so unique. Following the emotional speeches, the couple and their guests took to the dancefloor and shook it all night long!
