Flora and Mike were married on a beautifully sunny summer day at the Tudor Barn in Eltham. The details were classic and sweet: cream and blush roses, bridesmaids in dusky pink dresses, and a vintage VW Beetle decked with flowers as a getaway car. Make Me Bridal pro, Ema Ciobanu, was tasked with giving Flora her radiant wedding day look, with a soft updo and radiant, natural makeup.

The beautiful bride wanted to look her best, but still feel like herself, so the brief she gave Ema was ‘natural and glowing’. At the trial, the pair discovered that Flora had sensitive skin that reacted to fragrance, so Ema made sure to avoid any skincare and makeup products with fragrance in them. (This is an example of why a hair and makeup trial is so important!) To create a beautiful base, Ema used the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre as a moisturizer, which helps to prepare the skin for makeup and can also be used as a face mask. For Flora’s foundation, she reached for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, which provided a seamless finish and coverage, without being too thick or heavy on the skin. She kept the eyes simple, enhancing them only with neutral browns to bring out Flora’s beautiful eye colour, and finished them off with some cluster lashes for an added touch of drama.

For her hair style, Flora initially wanted a classic slick and chic updo. However, after a dress change before the wedding, she ultimately opted for a more relaxed and textured style. Although Ema didn’t have the opportunity to trial the look beforehand, it turned out perfectly on the day, and the bride was all smiles as she walked down the aisle.
