Hampshire country estate wedding bride and groom

Take a September day at a grand country house in a chocolate box Hampshire village surrounded by fields and woodlands, add an ethereal English rose bride and her dapper groom, a palette of blush, taupe, sage, and silver, and you have a little bit of wedding magic. Katy and Arran’s big day was elegant but natural, and filled with laughter and smiles.

It began with hair and makeup for Katy by Make Me Bridal pro, Melissa Clare Makeup & Hair, before a country church ceremony and a trip by vintage car back to the Grade I listed Georgian mansion house venue, Warbrook House, where Melissa is a recommended supplier. Guests mingled and enjoyed G&T ice pops before moving to the reception hall where tables were dressed in classic white linens with sweet-smelling sprays of blush and white roses in jars and bud vases. The quintessential countryside celebration!

The bride chose a super romantic Maggie Sottero gown in ivory and soft blush tulle. To complement this and accentuate Katy’s eyes and beautiful skin, Melissa opted for a very natural makeup look. A flawless, glowy base was enhanced with thick, luscious lashes, pillowy pink lips, and peachy cheeks.

For Katy’s hair, the brief was a half up half down look that looked very natural and mostly down. Melissa created relaxed beachy boho waves with an asymmetrical twist on one side of the half up section. A beautiful hair vine was then placed asymmetrically on the opposite side, to balance out the twist.

The metallic hair vine also tied in perfectly with the bridesmaids’ silver gowns – a last minute colour choice that was incorporated throughout the wedding, including the cake. The bridesmaids also wore soft waves that worked perfectly with Katy’s style.
