There’s nothing more sophisticated than a black tie affair, but when you add the shimmer and sparkle of Christmas into the mix, the result is just spectacular! Lizzie and Ben were married just three days after Christmas, in the elegant setting of Lainston House in Winchester. Winter flora, flickering candles, and twinkling fairy lights brought the festive magic of the season to life. To create the perfect winter bridal look, Lizzie hired Make Me Bridal pro Colette Johnson and her team at CJ Beauty & Co. The two had met at the Pitt Hall Barns recommended supplier fair, where they hit it off immediately, and Lizzie just knew she had to book CJ for her special day!

For her makeup, Lizzie wanted a soft, natural look – the best version of herself. As a mature bride who was also pregnant, she had sensitive skin that required special attention, and Colette was able to work her magic to create the most beautiful glow. She used natural tones with a little sparkle on Lizzie’s eyes and also added some individual cluster lashes to add definition without any suggestion of falseness. For her hair, Lizzie wanted a soft, slightly messy but elegant updo that would complement her natural makeup look. Colette created a beautiful loose pleat detail with Lizzie’s very fine hair, then added snowflake pins and a few Swarovski crystals to tie in with the Christmassy theme and add extra sparkle!

While Lizzie opted for the Director’s Package with CJ for added pampering, her bridesmaids were attended to by the rest of the talented CJ Beauty & Co team. The girls wore navy dresses with beautiful fur shrugs over their shoulders to keep out the chill. In keeping with the bride’s elegant but natural style, their hair was styled into beautiful soft side buns and then adorned with an individual snowflake pin.
