This styled shoot breathes fresh life into the typical rustic barn wedding, bringing a more vibrant, luxe bohemian-inspired design to the farm setting. Carolyn Louise Weddings wanted to inspire couples to create celebrations infused with elements of their individual personality and style, while keeping the look classy and romantic. Sugar Loaf Barn in the scenic Brecon Beacons made for the perfect location, with wide open spaces and the mellow setting of the barn itself. The team opted for a bolder colour palette, pairing bright orange and black alongside softer shades of green, pink, and coral. Make Me Bridal hair pro, Charlotte Perrott of Beautystyle was on hand to create both brides’ beautiful hairstyles, which paired perfectly with the overall look.
Keeping the bohemian theme in mind, Charlotte wanted to create hairstyles that complemented the gorgeous dresses and décor, and that were in keeping with the country location in Wales. She pictured whimsical styles, romantic and soft, that would bring the whole vision together. Both the bridal models had long hair, which was a dream to work with! Charlotte created styles based on their face shape, hair length and thickness, while incorporating hair accessories and a lush flower crown. The first was a loose curled updo, while the second was an intricately woven half up half down style. Makeup artist, Helena Shakespeare, finished the look with makeup in neutral tones. The brides were dresses in a variety of gowns by the talented Welsh designer, E&W Couture, including two-piece separates and a jumpsuit. These were paired with beautiful lace shoes and boots by House of Elliot – another stylish but unusual choice.
The tablescape was the perfect blend of rustic (thanks to an exposed wood table and bohemian luxe. The Luxe Touch provided mixed metal tableware, with silver cutlery and hammered copper water tumblers, elevated with cut glass wine goblets. Instead of charger plates, vintage vinyl was used – a perfect touch for music-loving couples! Pale green taper candles added a bit of soft romance.
