The Grand Hotel Eastbourne has certainly seen its share of elegant parties and events, with illustrious former guests including Winston Churchill and Charlie Chaplin. Built in 1875, ‘the white palace’ (as it’s affectionately known) was a favourite of Victorian high society and is still the only five-star hotel and wedding venue on the British coastline. Inspired by this setting, the creative team behind this styled bridal shoot wanted to capture a truly classic wedding style to reflect the timeless beauty of the hotel, with romantic florals, a gorgeous dress, and natural, glowing makeup and glamorous hair by Make Me Bridal wedding pro, Claire Reed of Beauty Ninjas.

Timelessness is something that many brides want to achieve with their look, and the best way to do this is with glamorous yet natural and radiant makeup. Claire focused on creating a glowing complexion as a base. She then used brown smoky eye makeup with cluster lashes for extra oomph without additional makeup. Finally, she finished off with a soft pink lip. The final result is a real classic, which can be tailored to suit all ages and colourings.

For the bride’s hair, Claire created a low chignon, adding volume at the root and using some hair padding. This is such a classic style and always looks elegant and polished. Claire notes that most brides wouldn’t need clip-in extensions to create this style, but they can be used to add extra volume. The chignon was finished off with a beautiful hair clip from Ritz & Sass.
